Publication Description:
The object of the legislation is to protect endangered species of wildlife and their natural habitats (see Chapter XII). Killing, possessing, selling, transporting or transferring (including exploiting) totally protected wildlife, or any part thereof, without permission, is punishable. Please note that this law is no longer in effect and has since then been replaced by the Conservation of Biodiversity and Protected Areas Law in 2018 by the Union parliament.
