Subsidiary legislation under the Animals and Birds Act dealing with the import and export of live fish. License required to import or export live fish, and is to be approved by the Director-General per s 3. Permits must be obtained from the Director-General for import or export to be conducted per s 5 and s 6. If imported, condition of live fish must adhere to s 7 of 'Import health requirements'. If exported, health certificates must be applied for and approved by Director-General per s 8. Contraventions of provisions above, as well as offences which include altering, falsifying any information on health certificates, forms or documents may be subject to revocation of license or economic or criminal penalties.
